the clk dv has 2 minor issues a couple customers discovered. when dividing a smooth audio rate waveform the /2 output is much lower than the other outs. and also the /2 out has trouble firing depending on how sharp the rising edge of an input is. the input is expecting a clock/pulse/or trigger, not really smooth waveforms. although it can trigger from a sine or triangle, the odd behavior depends on the above mentioned situations.

CLK DV is the worlds first and only 2hp clock divider. This small but powerful module divides the incoming clock by 2, 4, 8, 16, and 32. It also accepts audio rate input and can be used as a frequency divider. Since an octave relationship is 2:1, you can obtain musical divisions in octaves of the source “clock”. Patch two clk dvs together to get up to /1024 divisions.

This is a mathematical divider, the outputs go low when reset.

The module is available with red, yellow, or green leds.

panel is made of 1/8″ laser cut acrylic

more than skiff friendly, 28mm deep. reverse power protected.

here’s a short clip of the clk dv in action courtesy of the great Todd Barton.
